Assignment: chapters 1-3
Chapters 1-3 are the assigned reading. (don't worry, chapter 1 is really short). I'll facilitate discussion for this week.

Expectations
Come prepared
Read the text before you come. In order to participate in discussion, you should try to have a good grasp of the overall theme of the chapters read.
Focus
We will stick to the major themes of the chapters in question for discussion purposes. Once we have covered the major themes and questions about it, we will open up discussion for related topics. You are then welcome to bring in other material (for the most part keep it related) to further the discussion.
Facilitating
Right now we will rotate week by week who leads the discussion. The leader should come prepared with a handful of questions and topics to get things started, and is responsible for keeping discussion on track.

Meeting Schedule
Hi All!
We missed those of you who couldn't make it last Thursday, but we had a fun time talking and figured out a few logistical things. The schedule is a little crazy for the rest of this year with the holidays coming up and prior commitments for some of us, but next year we should be able to meet every other Thursday fairly regularly. I put which city we'll be meeting in but I'm not sure if we'll always be at the same two houses or switch around.
Thursday, Nov. 19 - Olathe (Langford's)
Saturday, Dec. 5 - Lee's Summit
Wednesday, Dec. 16 - Olathe
I'll let Caleb post about expectations and reading requirements.
Have a good week!
-Amy
